The beginning of this month saw Food Photographer Lara Jane Thorpe join us for a summer get together ... the weather was kind, the food was great and the photography top notch.
A special thanks to Paul Barrow for the excellent seafood. To Oran Balazs for turning up with his wonderful homemade cooking contraption where he produced some succulent chicken. To Jill Hunt for lending us Graham who looked after the meat and the smallest of pats on
the back to myself as my output of pizzas was not huge but would have been virtually nill had it not been for the help of Carol Tritton and Jill Hunt.
Alison Leahy did a superb job of herding everybody towards the photography sessions with Lara where she extolled the virtues of not only light but the 'dressing', the plate, the board, cloths and extra little flourishes like flowers ... Most of all, thanks to you lot for coming along and enjoying it ...
Having a get together, camera in hand, is a large part of what the club's all about and we're going in strong at the start of the new 2025/26 season ...
But before all of that we'll see you on opening night where, amongst other things, we have an exciting new club project we want to talk to you about ... see you there ...
