“You have 60 minutes in which to take 60 photos with the following titles. . . no more than one frame per title.”

It was sunny, reasonably warm and we were in a picturesque spot – West Bay with its harbour and  many kiosks serving food and ice cream – but it remained a tall order.

The titles were in three columns, B, G and R (with blue, green and red as bonus attributes for an image in each column of titles); that was simple enough, but at the rate of one a minute?

It was a much higher rate of photography than any of us would normally have attempted, but it was a challenge after all, and we worked hard to meet it.

Tourists got in our way, dog leads were there to trip us, fellow challenge contestants were help or hindrance, but the hardest part was finding the subject matter in the sort of order that would allow us to make the time limit – Some lateral thinking was essential:

To go back to the beginning: Andrew wisely advised us to look around for subjects while we waited for the off.

So that was the start sorted, but then to go in which direction?

And were we allowed to use the same photo for more than one subject, such as Glass and Reflection? Best not to ask, of course – innovate.

And when to ask permission?

And by what bribe to get a local to pose?

It was always worth using another member of the group; This one person Bark(ing) for Cathy:

So it was indeed a challenge, but also a great deal of fun (and exercise). Thanks, Andrew.
