There is a term in the film industry called 'wet down'... it's where you hose down the ground in a low light situation ... it creates contrast, reflections and texture ...
If you don't have your own water bowser then us photographers have to wait for the rain, and when it does, you'll find Michael Wilson aka @atikus, standing in the middle of the road!
He'll be trying to catch a reflection in the damp tarmac, or in the paintwork of a passing car.
He'll be chasing shadows and letting them slip into deep, inky black.
He'll be sheltering from the rain in the bus shelter, shooting through opaque windows, embracing the obsurity of the half lit figures ... a constant conveyor of interest delivered by Transport for London.
Because it is then, in the dark, that you'll find someone with horns 'and' a halo ...

It was an informative and entertaining talk, delivered via zoom but some of us are really looking forward to meeting Michael in Soho in a few weeks time for a walk around ... let just hope it's raining!
