Welcome to Bridport Camera Club
We meet roughly every other Wednesday between September and May each year at the Bridport Town Hall. For details, see the Programme.
A meeting is either:
* a presentation by an experienced photographer
* a competition, usually judged by an experienced judge
* a skills workshop
The club organises regular field trips throughout the year as well as members getting together to go out and about.
We are an inclusive club for anyone with an interest in photography. Our members cover all abilities, we have amateurs, hobbyists and professionals among our number. We have members using all kinds of equipment from compacts to film, from bridge cameras to the latest thing. There's even a growing number of members using mobile phones to great effect.
The one thing we do all have in common is a passion for photography. We like to learn, and we're happy to share the things we know. Why not come along?
The club was founded in 1994 at the Burton Bradstock Hotel by the then proprietor David Barnikel.
The Club's Facebook Page has all manner of things from local events to point your cameras at, to exhibitions, tips and tricks and really, just anything that comes our way. It's also a good place to join in with members sharing the things they've seen through the viewfinder. Some members put images on Instagram with the tag #bridportcameraclub.
Committee
The club runs entirely on a volunteer basis and relies on the support of all members to run club nights and other events.
